"When I came here at TRU, the first thing that called my attention was the organization and how helpful everybody was. Two weeks after my classes began and I was so happy because my instructors were extremely well-prepared and friendly. I think I did one of the best choices in life and I will never forget this wonderful summer! My English is now 100% better. TRU, that is the only way to go!"
-- Luciana Medeiros

"You can learn English anywhere. In Kamloops you can have a different kind of life. I say here is a great city. Fresh air. Friendly people. No traffic. I choose TRU because Kamloops has fewer Chinese students than other cities. Also the weather is very good here."
-- Sam Ko
Taichung, Taiwan

"I've been in Kamloops for four months. I've been improving my English skills pretty fast because I'm the only Thai student in here. Kamloops is a nice city for living: people are friendly. There is no traffic jam to worry about. If you like sports, there are a lot of sports to do but I'd like to recommend "snowboarding". This sport you can't play in Thailand and this is one of the best sports that I've ever tried. Please come and see by yourself!"
-- Vithawat Sirivoraluk
Bangkok, Thailand

"Kamloops is a very nice community for study. People are nice and friendly. TRU is a good choice. The instructors are experienced and good. I like the way they teach. I have made many good friends on the campus."
-- Khairyah Lon Shaari
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

"Many TRU students agree that one of the benefits to study at TRU is to build close relationships with professors. Most of the classes are small enough that the professors can match the faces and names of their students in a lecture. Students are usually called by their first names. The professors are also friendly and always willing to give students a hand. In fact, while they are in offices their doors are kept open so that they welcome the students to ask questions."
-- Kenji Takasaki
Toyohashi, Aichi, Japan

"When I arrived in Canada, and especially at TRU, I found a very relaxing atmosphere. The teachers ask the students to do the best they can, but by encouraging them instead of putting them down. They give a fair amount of homework, but, I find, always within reason. They are also available if the students need help or need to talk about problems they could encounter in class.
For me, being in Kamloops has been a wonderful experience, allowing me to meet people I now consider friends. I also got to know a different culture and society."

-- Virginie Martin
La Hauteville, France

"I think this experience of living abroad is very interesting and useful. I could learn a lot of things, talk to different people and see a different culture.Portuguese Srudent Photo Kamloops is a good place to live. It's very calm, beautiful, clean and safe. It's good to relax and live without stress. The city is not so big but there are many things to do and a lot of new experiences and new adventures."
-- Rodrigo de Assis
Sao Paulo, Brazil

"The biggest joy was seeing snow for the first time. Now I love snow. In addition, the fact that I met a lot of people from different cultures and the experience of different sports such as snowboarding, fishing, and camping. Attending different classes at TRU has given me a chance to explore many interests in different subjects. The classes which stand out in my mind are Japanese language, Ceramics, and ESL classes."
-- Nikita Lim
Hong Kong, PRC

"When I first decided to go abroad to study English, I chose Canada because Canada is safer and cheaper than U.S. After that, I went to several agencies and all of them recommended TRU because of its educational environment such as good instructors and curriculum. I spent almost 10 months at TRU and I realized that TRU have a lot of activities for international students. Even though Kamloops is a small city, people are friendly and it's very good place to study and enjoy nature and sports. I didn't have many difficulties to adjust to life in Canada. Especially TRU has a Korean advisor for Korean students."
